An annual recognition event honoring grandmothers and kinship caregivers who stepped into the role of parent again through grief and sacrifice.

Beyond The Streetz Restoration Program
A Program of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence (KSAVFV)
Beyond The Streetz Restoration Program is a comprehensive empowerment, restoration, and transition program designed to help women, young adults, and vulnerable individuals safely exit prostitution, sex trafficking, exploitation, abusive relationships, and street lifestyles. The program provides practical support, life-skills training, advocacy, mentorship, emotional healing, and community resources to help participants rebuild their lives.
Beyond the Streetz Restoration Program recognizes that many women become trapped in cycles of abuse, homelessness, addiction, exploitation, poverty, and violence. The program offers a pathway toward safety, stability, independence, and self-worth.
The goal is not simply to remove individuals from dangerous situations but to help them create sustainable and successful futures through education, employment readiness, personal development, and long-term support.
2nd Chance Boutique & Essentials Closet
A Program of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence
2nd Chance Boutique & Restoration Closet is a community-based empowerment program designed to provide free and low-cost clothing, professional attire, hygiene products, and supportive services to women and families facing hardship. The program will primarily serve survivors of domestic violence, women exiting prostitution, women re-entering society after incarceration, homeless women, low-income families, and individuals seeking a fresh start.
More than a clothing closet, 2nd Chance Boutique & Restoration Closet will be a place of restoration, dignity, and hope. Participants will receive access to clothing, personal care items, life-skills support, empowerment workshops, referrals, and connections to other programs offered through KSAVFV.
The goal is to help individuals rebuild their confidence, regain self-sufficiency, and move toward a stable and productive future.
A Gift to Grub Food Pantry
A Gift to Grub Food Pantry is a community-focused nonprofit food assistance program dedicated to reducing hunger, improving food security, and restoring dignity to individuals and families facing financial hardship. The pantry will provide nutritious food, emergency grocery assistance, hygiene products, and resource referrals to underserved populations throughout the community.
The organization will serve low-income families, seniors, veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence survivors, and households facing unexpected financial crises. Through partnerships with local businesses, churches, farms, food banks, and community organizations, A Gift to Grub Food Pantry will become a reliable source of nourishment, hope, and support.
Our goal is not simply to provide food but to help individuals and families stabilize their lives while connecting them with additional resources that promote long-term self-sufficiency.
Youth, Grief & Growth Programs
KSAVFV invests deeply in the emotional well-being and personal development of young people and those navigating grief, recognizing that healing and growth are inseparable.
Glow & Grow Academy
Glow & Grow Academy is a youth empowerment, leadership, and life-skills development program designed to equip girls and young women with the confidence, knowledge, and tools needed to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. As a program under KSAVFV, Glow & Grow Academy focuses on prevention, education, mentorship, and empowerment.
The Academy will provide age-appropriate programming that addresses self-esteem, emotional intelligence, hygiene, wellness, healthy relationships, leadership, academic success, violence prevention, and career readiness. Through workshops, mentoring, community engagement, and the annual Summer Glow Camp, participants will gain skills that help them become strong, confident, and successful leaders.
Glow & Grow Academy aims to create lasting positive change by investing in the next generation of young women and helping them build healthy, productive futures.
Healing Hearts Grief Support Program
A Program of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence (KSAVFV)
The Healing Hearts Grief Support Program is a community-based grief support and healing initiative designed to provide emotional support, education, resources, and hope to individuals and families experiencing loss due to homicide, domestic violence, suicide, accidents, illness, incarceration, and other traumatic life events.
The program will offer grief support groups, peer mentoring, family healing workshops, children’s grief activities, trauma-informed education, crisis referrals, and community healing events. Healing Hearts seeks to create a safe and supportive environment where participants can process their grief, connect with others who understand their pain, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Healing Hearts will help transform pain into purpose by ensuring that no grieving family has to walk their journey alone.
Cussing Ain’t Easy™ Support Group
A Communication, Emotional Intelligence, and Personal Growth Initiative
Cussing Ain’t Easy™ is an innovative communication and personal development program designed to help individuals replace harmful communication habits with respectful, confident, and emotionally intelligent communication. While profanity is often viewed as harmless, excessive or inappropriate language can negatively affect employment opportunities, relationships, parenting, leadership, conflict resolution, and personal credibility.
This program is not about judging or shaming people for using profanity. Instead, it teaches participants how to communicate effectively under pressure, develop emotional self-control, improve professionalism, and build healthier relationships.
The program combines practical life skills, emotional intelligence education, accountability, role-playing exercises, group discussions, and personal coaching to create lasting behavioral change.

Look, Listen, and Learn Program
A Program of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence
The Look, Listen, and Learn Program is a victim-centered accountability, education, and restorative awareness program designed to educate offenders about the devastating consequences of their actions on victims, families, and communities.
The program is intended for individuals convicted of offenses involving the loss of life, serious bodily injury, domestic violence, vehicular homicide, DUI-related fatalities, violent crimes, and other offenses that have caused significant harm.
Through victim impact panels, survivor testimony, accountability workshops, educational courses, and guided reflection, participants gain a deeper understanding of the lasting effects their actions have had on others.
The program seeks to reduce recidivism, increase offender accountability, support victims’ voices, and promote safer communities throughout Washington State and beyond.
Justice, Healing, Accountability, Prevention, and Resentencing Program
The Justice, Healing, Accountability, Prevention, and Resentencing Program (JHAPR Program) is a community-based initiative under the umbrella of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence (KSAVFV). The program is designed to create a balanced approach to public safety, victim advocacy, offender accountability, violence prevention, rehabilitation education, and resentencing awareness.
Through education, advocacy, support services, assessments, victim impact programming, and community engagement, the program seeks to promote safer communities while ensuring that victims and their families remain at the center of the conversation.
This initiative was inspired by the tragic loss of Kiara Sewell and the need for stronger advocacy, accountability, transparency, and public safety protections for victims and families impacted by violence.
The Matriarch’s Appreciation Gala
Honoring Women Who Became Parents Again Through Grief
The Matriarch’s Appreciation Gala is an annual community recognition event created under the umbrella of Kiara Sewell Advocacy for Victims and Families of Violence. The Gala honors grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and other matriarchs who have stepped into the role of primary caregiver after the loss, incarceration, addiction, illness, or incapacity of a parent.
Many of these women expected to enjoy retirement, yet found themselves raising children again while navigating grief, financial hardship, legal challenges, and emotional trauma. Despite their sacrifices, their contributions often go unnoticed.
The Matriarch’s Appreciation Gala seeks to celebrate these extraordinary women through an elegant annual event featuring awards, community recognition, entertainment, resources, wellness services, and ongoing support opportunities.
The Gala is designed to become one of Washington State’s premier events recognizing grandparents and kinship caregivers while raising awareness about the challenges they face.
